Delicious chicken, pork and brisket sliders were on the menu. Shawn and his team were punctual, professional and kept the lines moving!

along with baked beans, cole slaw, pasta salad, potato salad, mac and cheese, and peach cobbler for dessert. It was all delicious and fresh!

We used Smoking Shawns by accident. A very happy accident. My mother was turning 90 and wanted a party. She lives in Warrenton, Virginia and recommended that I use Shawn’s Barbecue (a new restaurant) that had recently opened in Warrenton. When I googled Smoking Shawn’s came up so I gave them a call. Shawn (the Man) actually answered the phone. We talked for a while and he figured out from the conversation what we wanted and made recommendations. He emailed me an estimate. It was or should have been that easy. My mother still wanted to get another estimate from the Shawn’s BBQ Restaurant. So I called…And called…and called. After a couple of days they did return my call. I had already made arrangements with the better Shawn. Everything we ordered came to us at the appointed hour hot, fresh and delicious. The one recommended item that was not on my radar was Mac and Cheese. Shawn insisted and it was the hit of birthday party. If you are looking for someone to cater your gathering of 6 or 60 (we had sixty satisfied partygoers and one happy 90 year old food critic). You cannot go wrong with Smokin Shawn’s BBQ.
We hired Smoking Shawns BBQ for our September wedding, and it was a HIT! Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding food they have ever had. The portions were big and the food was so tasty. Throughout the entire planning process, Shawn was incredibly responsive, professional, and even drove to my house so I could try his food before the wedding. Shawn and his staff exceeded our expectations, and we are so thankful we went with them for our special day. If you are looking for a caterer in the Northern Virginia area, hire them. You will not regret it!!
We wanted to have a back-yard BBQ for our daughter's graduation celebration. I searched the web to find someone locally who would set up a buffet style BBQ at our home. Smokin Shawn's was the "chosen one" and the best choice ever!!! Shawn even brought his smoker. My neighborhood never smelt so good!! We had pulled pork, baby back ribs, and his amazing brisket...a must try!! Also sides of green beans, baked beans, slaw, baked mac n cheese, cornbread, both cobblers (apple & peach). PHENOMENAL TASTING!!!! Shawn and his staff far exceeded and did an awesome job. And I certainly will add, SO FRIENDLY & PROFESSIONAL!!! I definitely made a new friend!
We used Smokin' Shawn's to cater our wedding, and it far exceeded our expectations! We had carefully crafted our menu with Shawn to include appetizers, as well, and he did an amazing job preparing Caprese salad skewers, deviled eggs, meatballs, and shrimp cocktail shooters. They were gorgeous, and everyone raved about how delicious everything was. At multiple times throughout the wedding, Shawn and his family wanted to be sure we were satisfied with the food. They were just good, fun people to be around and felt like old friends. We are both in law enforcement and will definitely be recommending Shawn to our colleagues.

From the beginning Shawn was very professional always answering the phone to calm your nerves when your hosting a big party and worried about the food.
Our Pork and Chicken was deliver right on time and piping hot! The meat was tender and delicious! I was told by a competitor when calling around for estimates that pulled Chicken was hard to do because of to many bones and I should consider cut up Chicken. Not Shawn!! The Chicken was awesome and no bones or grizzle.
Definitely recommend and if ever I need a good BBQ order again Shawn’s my first call!!!
Dear Shawn, Shawn prepared a deep fried turkey and sides for our large Christmas family feast. The fact that the meal was delicious was matched by fact that we were able to focus on family without the distractions of preparing a complicated meal.
I just want you to know that was the best food ever! Everyone enjoyed the meats! You are the man!!! We had over 25 folks to show up!!! More than we had anticipated! We had plenty of food! Thank you so much and we look forward to ordering again.
Shawn provides a lovely BBQ potpourri to our neighborhood. It always smells delicious! We love Shawn's BBQ and are regular customers. We enjoy it for busy weeknight family dinners, small gatherings, and large parties. Everyone is always very impressed. My teenager recently said, "That man has a gift." Thanks for feeding us well Shawn! We recommend Shawn's services for any occasion, large or small.
Promises Animal Rescue was in search of BBQ for a huge fundraising for over 200 people. Smokin Shawn's BBQ came highly recommended. The event was a HUGE success, Smokin Shawn was prompt at delivery food was awesome. Everyone at the event raved about the food. I'm so pleased with the service, food and most of all working with Shawn is wonderful.
Shawn - This is way overdue (but, obviously, not totally forgotten). thank you so very much for smoking that briskit for us in early
December. The one that Duke brought down to us for our annual Christmas Get-together we had. It was positively mouth-watering and we had more than enough for the party
and for a couple of dinners afterwards. The sauce that you sent was out-of-this-world, too! It got rave reviews from our guests, and I simply replied that it's all in who you know. I only wished that you could have joined us, too. OK, one of these days . right?

Having heard positive reviews from the Stonewall Club golfers about the outstanding barbecue available on the golf course during the past year, we decided to try Smokin Shawn's barbecue in mid December when the Brass Cannon restaurant introduced it into its menu. What a treat. Some of the best barbecue we have tasted. With 20 family members joining us for Christmas at our home, we contacted Shawn to make his famous brisket, pulled turkey, and mac n cheese. First time we ever served barbecue at the holidays. Well, all the family members loved each of the three items... including the picky family from Texas. We would definitely recommend Shawn Terry, the Pit Master, and his variety of barbecue and side dishes!
I had an employee recommended High Grain Bread Company after she and her daughter visited and she said you have to try the BBQ sandwich.
The BBQ was incredible! After several (weekly addiction) visits to this location, this guy approached me to ask what I thought of the BBQ
and I found myself selling him on the BBQ only to find out he was the PitMaster himself! Let's just say if you tastes this BBQ you might sell your own grill it's so good!
I had a family gathering for a Friday night and ordered Shawn’s Pulled Turkey and a side of Potato Salad. The family loved the meat which had awesome smoky flavoring, yet none of the fat you get with pulled pork. Honestly you would not have known it was turkey it was so moist! And the sample of the Mac & Cheese was a hit with my youngest daughter, who has never liked homemade Mac & Cheese! The Potato salad was great, nice flavor and well-seasoned. This comes from someone who grew up eating potato salad in a PA Dutch influenced family! An awesome meal with plenty of leftovers, which were just as good the second time around! And Shawn is one of the nicest guys around, he really cares what people think of his food!
